A close up of buds and blossom, photographed by one of the sisters in the monastery's orchard, appear on this, the third of a series of Apple Blossom cards.
The text, which appears on the inside left, is an excerpt from a poem written by William Wilsey Martin and reads
Have you seen an apple orchard in the spring?
In the spring?
An English apple orchard in the spring?
When the spreading trees are hoary
With their wealth of promise-glory,
And the mavis pipes his story
In the spring!
William Wilsey Martin
These cards are sold in packs of four (with contrasting pink envelopes).
